Announcement
Hey, guys! So, this post will be a sort of announcement about my blog. I’ve been thinking about my blog for the past week or two, and I think I’ve come to a decision: I think I want to turn my blog into one that’s not solely about reading and writing. I want my blog to be a place where I can talk about all of my passions, not just reading and writing. This includes things like art, singing, dancing, music, and K-Pop (Korean music).
Because of this decision, I’ll be working on my blog and changing a few things here and there. I’ll be changing my posting schedule a bit, I’ll be adding new pages to my blog, and I’ll be changing the overall aesthetic. It’ll probably take me a while to implement all of these changes, so i hope you guys will be patient with me.
Passion for Music
So, I’m the type of person to become obsessed with things I enjoy (i.e. books, K-Pop, etc). For a while, books and writing were my main passion. Reading was all I did, and that eventually inspired me to write. However, over the years, I’ve found more things that I’m passionate about, the main one being K-Pop. In case you guys didn’t know, K-Pop is Korean music. It’s quite different from most Western music in many ways, but I’ll probably make a separate post explaining that.
In all seriousness, though, it’s not just K-Pop that I’m passionate about when it comes to music; it’s music in general. I’ve been a dancer my entire life. I started taking dance classes when I was three-years-old. I took dance lessons for 10 years, quitting when I was 12. But just because I quit dancing doesn’t mean I’m not still a dancer at heart. It was only a couple of years after I quit dance that I found K-Pop. Most K-Pop songs I listen to have dances. I never stopped loving to dance, so I started learning those dances on my own so I could still perform in a way.
I’ve also been a singer for as long as I can remember. I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t sing along to my favorite songs. When I was younger, I wanted to grow up to be a singer, which isn’t that uncommon for small children. The difference for me was that I genuinely wanted to grow up to perform. Even when that dream faded away and a new one took its place, I continued to sing for fun. I even auditioned for American Idol in 2020, though I didn’t pass. I love singing for many reasons, the main one being that it allows me to express my feelings through the words of someone else’s song. I’ve never been too good at songwriting, though I’ve tried. Being able to sing along to another artist’s song gives me a sort of peace of mind.
It’s not just singing and dancing, though. It’s listening to music, hearing the different instruments flow together, and understanding the story behind the songs. There are often times when I’m listening to music where I’ll listen to the same song on repeat, focusing on a different part of the composition each time.
My Point Is:
I’m a person who’s very passionate about many things, and I want this blog to be a place where I can talk about each and every one of those passions without judgement. I want to share my love of various things with others through this blog. My new goal for this blog is for it to be a safe place for people to bond over their shared passions. So, I hope all of you that have already chosen to follow my blog will continue to do so with that in mind. While this blog will no longer solely be about books and writing, I will still post book/writing-related things. So, don’t worry too much fellow book-lovers.
What About the Blog Name?
So, I know that I originally chose the name Passion for Pages Blog with books in mind, but it’s not so different that I can’t continue using it. Pages don’t just reference books but also music sheets, composition notes, scripts, and most importantly, my blog’s pages. A website has pages, and because my blog is about my passions, each post (page) is just as passion-filled as anything else. Hopefully that makes sense. Long story short, I’ll continue to use the name Passion for Pages Blog.

Questions?
I’m sorry that this announcement was so long, and I hope it wasn’t too boring. I just figured it’d be easier to make an announcement post rather than briefly mention it in a post. If you have any questions about anything I mentioned here, just fill out this form and I’ll get back to you!
